About Us
The Divine Journey of Shiva Shakti Charitable Trust
The origins of this sacred journey trace back to the 1950s, when the temple’s spiritual roots were first nurtured by Sri Hanumanthappa. What began as a humble place of devotion gradually evolved into a center of unwavering faith and divine connection.
From as early as the 1960s, during the time of Sri Venkateshappa, regular pooja dedicated to Lord Shiva was being performed in a separate temple. This marked the continuation of a strong spiritual lineage passed down through generations, deeply rooted in devotion and discipline.

A significant turning point occurred around 2003, when a sacred tree presence was discovered. During that period, Sri Venkateshappa was involved in Ayurvedic medicine preparation. One night, he experienced a powerful divine dream. In the dream, he saw a sacred site where a Peepal tree and Banyan tree had grown together on a small mound (Huttha) within the Anchetty Forest. A serpent appeared in the dream and guided him towards this exact location.
Moved by the vision, he visited the place in the Anchetty Forest the very next morning—and to his astonishment, everything he saw in the dream was real. The sacred trees stood exactly as shown, and a snake was present near them, just as in the dream. Recognizing this as a divine sign, he brought the sacred presence into his home. Remarkably, the same serpent was seen again near the tree, reinforcing the profound spiritual significance of the event.
From that moment, his life transformed completely. He gradually moved away from Ayurvedic practices and dedicated himself entirely to devotion and spiritual service.
In 2007, young Sanjay, born in 2004, began actively participating in pooja rituals, continuing the family’s legacy of devotion from a very early age.
In 2012, the divine presence of “Swayambhu” (self-manifested deity) was recognized at the site, further strengthening the sanctity and spiritual importance of the place.
With years of continued devotion, discipline, and divine experiences, this sacred journey reached a new milestone in 2026 with the formal establishment of the Shiva Shakti Charitable Trust. The trust stands today as a symbol of faith, service, and spiritual awakening—carrying forward a legacy that began generations ago.
This is not just a story of a temple, but a living testimony of divine guidance, unwavering belief, and a family’s lifelong dedication to spirituality.
